Her mother worked at the CCIE (Central Cottage Industries Emporium) so her interest in the crafts of India was developed very early in life too. She loves to paint, travel, and cook and also loves horses and dogs.

The beginning…
At only 9 years, Charu started to visit Central Cottage Industries Emporium with her mother on the weekends and saw a plethora of weavers, craftsmen, and designers working under one roof in tandem. That is when she knew she wanted to be a fashion designer.
