She started working with her husband’s company as a designer and later decided to branch off on her own and be India's first menswear designer. Krishna Mehta has also established an NGO PALAK (Palanpur Hastakala Pvt. Ltd.) that trains and provides employment to differently-abled men and women in specific skills related to hand printing, dyeing, embroidery, etc.
