While Megha heads production, Jigar is the creative head for the label. Megha was born and bred in a small town where she later went on to join the family business with her father. This gave a major boost to her entrepreneurial skills. Jigar on the other hand, grew up in Ahmedabad and always knew he wanted to be a fashion designer. Both the designers are alumni of J.D. Institute in Delhi and studied Fashion Designing before co-founding the label. Jigar lends his individuality to the label in the form of sensitivity and passion to his craft and creation, which can be found at the core of all their designs. Megha brings her unique design and innovative aesthetics to the label. Her creative versatility is rich in traditional values and contemporary in style, and has been invaluable to the label

The beginning…

Joining forces with her father helped Megha gain sufficient experience to foray into the world of couture and start her eponymous label. When it comes to Jigar, after he experimented with styling projects for movies like ‘Do Duni Char’ and ‘Reincarnation’ which was invited to an international film festival, he decided to pursue fashion designing full time. This is when the label Megha & Jigar began its journey in the world of wedding couture in the year 2013.

A Brief introduction about your brand/label?

House of Masaba blends two varied cultures and thoughts to transform everyday mundane items into unconventional motifs and prints. It caters to women across all age groups and body types with fuss-free and unique silhouettes that are not restricted to any specific size or stereotype. House of Masaba is bridging a gap between Haute and Pret Couture. The label has made its mark in resort wear and destination wedding and the brand’s signature colours, motifs and aesthetics have found their way into collaborations across all product categories. Over the years, the brand has forayed into Menswear, Fashion Jewellery, Swimwear and Beauty.
