The beginning…
Tanvi’s career began by joining the family's garment export house after undergrad. She met with some high end designers from Europe and North America. It was a great learning curve to sample and produce some amazing collections with these International brands for her. During the pandemic, when exports were at an all time low, Tanvi was inspired to start my own domestic fashion brand.
Nayantara
Nayantara merges European fashion with Indian silhouettes to create timeless embroidered statement pieces. The main specialty being hand embellishment, each garment reflects touches of beading, sequin work, appliques and fabric manipulation. With an embroidery archive spanning a few thousand unique swatches and techniques, the brand designs statement pieces that can be a loving part of your wardrobe for years to come.
