Ohaila Khan shares her story, "It actually began with and at Pernia's Pop Up Shop. I was working in my family business at the time designing embroidery development samples for all the big whos who couture houses of the world and I decided to start working on a small price-conscious capsule collection of festive wear, Pernias Pop-Up Shop loved it and our first consignment was sold out within less than a week and they were back for more so I started making small capsule collections as a part-time job while I worked with my fathers export house. It's only a couple years ago when I made this brand a full-time job as it was where my heart lied and it needed me as much as I needed it."

The brand draws inspiration from architecture, culture, nature and travel catering to glamourous young women who have an evolved and refined taste in fashion. The ones who value quality and craftsmanship use their sartorial choices to depict their personalities. The label believes in constantly reinventing their aesthetics with new inspirations and themes while staying true to their vision and making sure every collection has something new to offer. Non-traditional embroidery techniques and silhouettes are merged with classic elements to achieve the perfect balance for contemporary festive clothing. The label caters to the modern woman with a collection of garments strongly targeted towards occasion wear. The cohesiveness of a collection on its theme inspiration and concept is the main focus of the label. For Ohaila Khan, designing is a medium to break away from global and geographical barriers marrying in different cultures fashion and silhouettes in the aesthetics of her own label. The designer has participated in two international fashion weeks in Paris & Milan.

The 'Fringe' collection is Ohaila's favourite. It was the first collection by Ohaila Khan to make it through their first International Week. Pernia's Pop-Up Shop featured the line in a magazine shoot with Amyra Dastur.
