The beginning…
“My journey began when one day, I was travelling to Lucknow to buy chikankari outfits which in turn inspired me to take this ancient art by hardworking embroiderers and transform it into western and contemporary silhouettes,” Apoorva muses. Her brand strives to promote and uplift embroiderers who are the true keepers of this traditional art.
Oru is a concept initiated to champion the cause of weavers in the country. It aims to promote India's rich, diverse cultures and different artistic forms among international communities.
