The beginning…
“The personal experience of draping fine Chanderi and Maheshwari weaves stayed with me and aroused a keen interest in regional handloom. The delicate luxury of high-grade natural fibres was a tactile memory that I subconsciously carried during my years of working in the corporate field,” says Ashwini. A marketer and brand strategist by profession, Ashwini and her husband travelled and observed the harsh living conditions of the craftspeople in India which led them to set up Rewanta, a for-profit organisation that facilitates the participation of local weaving communities in mainstream development. PABLE draws inspiration from Ashwini’s personal design ethos. It aims to be a medium to support craftsmen in the hinterlands of India.
PABLE
Exquisite pieces for the contemporary woman - that’s what defines PABLE. The label works with 100% natural fibres and the fabric is handspun and handwoven, qualifying it as a genuine Khadi process. PABLE is stylish & elegant, created with faith, hope and optimism that celebrates the wearer, the craft and the makers. Finely balancing craft with engineered construction and understated detailing, each piece is made with care, and has to pass through multiple stages of in-house quality checks before receiving the final approval. Fabulous fabrications, rich in heritage and modern in design are the factors that encapsulate PABLE.
