The beginning…
“I was always inclined towards fashion but didn't think to make a career out of it. I hadn't even studied design. My friends often pushed me to make this hobby a bigger thing. So I had a small exhibit where my pieces were sold out within a couple of hours and one thing led to another. Also, being one of the first few designers on Pernia’s Pop-Up Shop when it had just started gave me the platform to reach out nationally & internationally. It got me exposure to a wide variety of customers, stylists, and markets that would have never been possible to achieve in such a short frame of time though conventional in-store retail,” says the designer.
Prathyusha Garimella as a label
Since its inception in 2013 in Hyderabad, the Prathyusha Garimella label has carved a niche for itself, complimenting the aesthetic of royal allure that the label embodies.
Her designs are variegated and blend contemporary silhouettes with intricate detailing using sequins, zardosi and Gota Patti, thereby epitomizing a sartorial regale
