How did your career begin?

Seema started on a very small scale with only 3 people in 1995. Within the year, the team had expanded considerably. The joy of producing pretty garments and having people appreciate them was very fulfilling and a hobby turned into a business.

A Brief introduction about your brand/label?

The idea behind Seema Gujral is to make clothes that look pretty not only from far, but also up close. The designer tries to tie glamorous to classic - keeping it wearable all the time. The idea being, to create a fresh look, above all else, she visualizes the garment in her mind and works backwards towards creating it. It begins with the color, a small swatch of embroidery, and carries on into making stencils for the entire garment, and there on.

Tell us briefly about your favorite collections

Seema says that every new collection is her favourite. “We try to push the boundaries in terms of colours for all our collections. We chose colours that really compliments the Indian skin tone. With all our collections we try to use at least 2-3 different work techniques ranging from gota patti, embroidered sequins work to appliques”.

“We would like to dress each and every person walking into our store. We share utmost excitement and pleasure in dressing up our clients for their special occasions so that they look the best”, says the designer.
