Soumodeep Dutta
Hailing from a middle-class family, Soumodeep Dutta gives credit for the larger part of his upbringing to his mother. “She made sure to instil the culture and traditions of an Indian Bengali family in me. That gave me a fascination for the culture and traditions of our land.” shared the designer. Soumodeep Dutta also shared that he remembers taking fabric, needles, and thread as a young child and making small swatches of Kantha embroidery. With Bengali literature and art attached to his soul, the designer believes that all forms of creativity are connected to each other.
