“I grew up travelling within India as my father was a fighter pilot in the IAF”, says the designer. She says that her childhood reminds her of fruit trees in the backyard and vegetable gardens at home, along with tons of beautiful flowers. “We learned to create something truly real and organic as we grew. That stayed with me. Later I worked for a company with offices in over 90 countries, hence I travelled the world extensively. My clothes are a reflection of that. The ideas for designing primarily come from the world and its people,” she further adds.
