How did your career begin?
Vani Vats has studied B.A. Hons. in Fashion Designing from Pearl Academy of Fashion. Indian culture has always intrigued and inspired Vani hence she uses craftsmanship in her work. Post college, she interned under Shantanu and Nikhil for almost two years and then went on to join ace designer Manish Arora. Vani gathered knowledge of silhouettes, colours, embroidery and traditional techniques during her work experiences. After honing her inherent design skills, Vani came up with her own clothing line by the name of Vvani by Vani Vats.
A Brief introduction about your brand/label?
Vvani by Vani Vats is an Indian ethnic womenswear label launched in January 2015. The young designer believes that clothing is an essential element in expressing one’s identity hence she offers fashion that is classic, eternal and distinctive. The label Vvani by Vani Vats is a depiction of royal Indian handcraft where she archaic Indian embroideries and techniques in unconventional designs
