Mumbai-based designer, Payal Singhal was drawn to sketching and design from a young age. Singhal grew up in a world drenched with fashion, films and art. It is in her genes - her grandfather is an acclaimed painter and photographer, J.P. Singhal, and her father is the founder of London Fashions. The designer came up with her first couture look at 15. She also received much acclaim for her, when she was presented with the Shoppers Stop Designer of the Year Award. Her winning ensemble was worn by then Miss World- Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The SNDT Women's University in Mumbai allowed Payal Singhal to further refine her skills in fashion design.
