About the designer Ritesh Kumar

Ritesh Kumar is a former student of Domus Academy, Milan, Italy and National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi, India. He worked as a design consultant with fashion houses like Ermanno Daelli, Chimento and Parasuco in Italy and House of Valaya and Esprit De Corp in India. He sharpened his design skills after that moved back to India and started his label in 2009 called Ritesh Kumar. Ritesh Kumar thinks of an alternate reality of fashion, which questions genres of couture-pret- streetwear and provokes stereotype notions of beauty, glamour and luxury. As his work now revolves around the incorporation of synthetic with the natural and exploring new possibilities for tomorrow, change is the keyword, and that's what it stands for. His clothes are not the non-wearable unreality but seek for a future of fashion that is in the process of hybridization. Ritesh says, 'I believe even if you don't, inspiration finds you at the right time'.
