ABOUT RAJESH PRATAP SINGH
Raised in Rajasthan, Rajesh Pratap Singh taps into his inherent Indian sensibilities to design collections that are rooted in innovation and heritage. A graduate from NIFT, Delhi, the designer explored fashion in Italy for two years before launching his eponymous label.
Awards
Rajesh Pratap Singh won the ‘Designer of the Year’ award at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in 2009. He bagged the title of India’s Most Talented and Creative Designers from Newsweek. Mr Singh received the EDIDA Award from Elle Decor and Kingfisher Designer of the Year. He also won the Best Menswear Designer Award at The Fashion Awards in 1996.
Collaborations
Rajesh Pratap Singh has his printed linens and Ikat weaves archived in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The designer collaborated with stylist Ambika Pillai to design the cabin crew uniform for Indigo Airlines. He also collaborated with TATA Motors for the interior design of the TATA Manza Sedan. Mr Singh also designed the new packaging for Chivas Pernod Ricard bottles. Rajesh has designed the costumes for the French Opera “Padmavati by Albert Roussel.
