Late Indian designer Satya Paul founded his eponymous label 1985 and achieved a distinguished name in Indian fashion for printed textiles. The brand is globally recognized for saris, classic kurtas, handbags, scarves and men’s accessories.
Awards
Satya Paul was awarded the International Asian Fashion Awards 2010 in London for Outstanding Contribution to the Fashion Industry.
Collaborations
Satya Paul joined a noble cause collaborating with the Tata Memorial Centre Hospital for Women’s Cancer Initiative to spread awareness for breast cancer. The project was led by Mumbai socialite and philanthropist Devieka Bhojwani, who battled and survived breast cancer. Satya Paul designed a capsule collection called ‘Ray of Hope’. Satya Paul collaborated with WWF for the Endangered Species collection. Satya Paul reinvented S.H Raza’s paintings for a collection of silk scarves.
