Diva'ni was founded in 2013 by Sanya Dhir with collaboration with Yash Raj Films to honor the legendary love of Yash Raj for God’s most beautiful creation- Women. She adopts the idea of the way Yash Raj portrays the Divas in her films, the way she carries herself in every attire gracefully. She also personifies her sheer love for pre-partitioned India. With the legacy of 75-year-old parent company Karol Bagh Saree House and roots tracing to Lahore, Sanya Dhir pays tribute to the nostalgia and lingering beauty of ancient Punjab and Awadh (Oudh) province.

Diva’ni couture depicts the art and craft of Sindh, Amritsar and Multan with a hint of Persian and Mughal influences. Diva’ni tries to use all the cultural crafts and traditions of Hindostan to create signature aesthetic designs. Diva’ni offers a wide range of womenswear such as Lehengas, Sarees, Anarkalis, Angrakhas, Shararas and Ghararas Dresses, Pant Suits, etc. It Also has Menswear collection of Kurtas, Jackets, Pants and Sherwanis.

Diva’ni Couture Lehengas and Sarees

Diva'ni Lehengas and Sarees depicts the true Diva of Indian cinema and traditions of British India. The combination of these two inspirations helps the designer Sanya Dhir to create the magic in her designs. Divani Lehengas are made for the traditional brides of India who are full of grace and innocence at the same time. Lehengas are handcrafted and hand painted by local artisans.

The signature lehengas of Diva'ni are embroidered with zardozi on Banarasi silk with brocade. Another famous lehenga was worn by Vaani Kapoor in the film "Befikre'' in one of its songs. The Ivory Lehenga with the fish scales crafted using semi-precious mother of pearls and bejewelled kundan paired up with gold sequin bralette blouse, is an epic piece of art on its own. Diva'ni Sarees depicts the old, undivided India with a pinch of the personality of modern women.
